Raw Banana Fries

 It's snack time!

I made them at home for the first time and they turned out to be so delicious and crispy. These fries taste almost like potato fries or slightly better than potato fries. They can be served with ketchup, mayonnaise or dip of your choice.

Be experimental and try the banana fries.


RECIPE 

Prep Time: 10 minutes 

Cook Time: 30 minutes 

Total time: 40 minutes 

Serves: 6-8 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8- 12 Green bananas
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder 
  • 1/2-1 tsp chaat masala/ snack spice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying 

METHOD:

  1. Cut the tops and bottoms off of the bananas.
  2. Peel and wash the bananas.
  3. Slice them into long thin wedges to make fries.
  4. Place them on paper towel, you can sprinkle a pinch of salt, garlic powder and pepper.
  5. Heat your oil, when its hot enough. Put the banana chips and let it cook until golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oil, and drain on paper towels.
  7. Pat off the excess oil, and season with chaat masala. 
  8. Serve hot immediately with tomato ketchup.
