Instant bread dhokla

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
FOR TEMPERING:
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds (Til)
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise & cut into halves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 Tbsp coriander for garnishing
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
  • 6 bread slices
  • Coriander-green chilli chatni
  • 2 Tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
METHOD:
TEMPERING:
  1. Heat oil in a small pan or tempering pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds in a pan.
  3. When seeds begin to crackle, add sesame seeds, curry leaves & green chillies. Saute them for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Add 1/2 cup water, astofoetida, salt, sugar, turmeric powder and bring it to boil; let it cook for a minute over high flame.
  5. Turn off the flame & keep the tempering aside.
DHOKLA:
  1. Take bread. Spoon the coriander- green chilli chutney on one side of bread & spread well.
  2. Place another bread on top. Take mayonnaise & spread well.
  3. Now, spread some tomato ketchup on third bread & place it upside down.
  4. Cut the edges off from the bread slices.
  5. Repeat the same process with other three slices.
  6. Take the tadka. Add lemon juice in it & mix well.
  7. Pour onto the bread dhoklas and toss gently until each dhokla is coated well with tempering.
  8. Garnish it with coriander leaves & fried green chilli.
  9. Instant bread dhokla is ready to eat. 
  10. Serve this dish with a dip of your choice.
